Transition - where can I get support?
My child is just going into the Transition stage and I'm not at all confident firstly about the information I will get or whether the right provision will be suggested and then put into place. I don’t know where to go for support.

New information on transition in support section of this site
There is a new section on transition in the 'Support' section of this site:
http://www.talkaboutautism.org.uk/support/transition
I hope you'll find it useful. As you'll see it contains lots of great ideas from discussions on this forum about transition to adulthood and transition between schools.
Also, you should definately look at the section on transition on the AET website: http://www.autismeducationtrust.org.uk

The NAS website has a good section on Transition Planning and what you can expect for your child:
At age 14 at their review ask for a person centred plan – to be reviewed regularly. See www.dimensions-uk.org
