I would have to say that every day I spend with my son, is better than being without him. He is especially lovely though!

Hi all :)
We've just got back from seeing Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in Wimbledon. We went to get a pizza before the show and Stuart was perfectly behaved in the restaurant. In the theatre he was completely enthralled from start to finish and hardly moved from his seat (quite an achievement for him lol). His older brother had a fantastic time, as did me and hubby, so it was a really lovely family day out :D

Y'know, I still think this is such a great discussion. Puts a smile on my face every time I come across it!

Hi all
I just thought i would create a thread about the good days you have with yoru child (children). We all know about teh down days when things are really tough but i thought it would be good to share the good times too.
I shall start - Been a tough week with my son Robert, he has not been well with a cold and not really been at his best, however i came home last night and he was totally different, he ran up to me and gave me a big hug saying daddy daddy etc and looked me straight in the eye and told me to come in and play. I was actually quite taken aback as usually he has no eye contact at all. We then played for about half an hour on my lap with lots of eye contact and hugs etc, then spent 30 mins on cbeebies webiste. For the first time i actually felt quite connected to my son, as all of you know ASD does make them very distant but this time it was like having a "normal"child, wonderful.
Anyway hope you dont mind me sharing that, please share your good day moments.
Matt
