Hi Elena,
I love books like that...that leave you feeling really inspired....
I'm reading eclipse by Stephanie Meyer. It is the third in the 'Twighlight' series. It is about vampires, but is a love story...not usually my thing but it is such a good story that I am completely gripped by it! The film of the second book in the series called 'New Moon' is in the cinemas at the moment and looks like a bit of a girly/teeny film.....Everyone I know who has seen it has loved it including me and my girls :0)

Well I love anything by Sophie Kinsella, Chris Manby,Cecilia Ahern and anything of that genre.Anything that I can read easily without too much thought.
The last book I read was The Gift by Cecilia Ahern - she writes some very unusual books that dont always have happy endings.
As for writing books.. I haven't but my husband has :)

hi my son has turned into a bookworm he's very much into novels but he's only 8.Does anyone have any good ideas on books he could read?At the moment he has borrowed one of my books The Curious Incident of the dog in the night.He has really got stuck into it.His reading is very advanced.Any ideas anyone?

How about the Harry Potter series? My daughter has all the books and Tom has all the DVDs, although maybe your son has seen the DVDs and wont be interested in the books.
I have the "Curious Incident" one .. that's a really good one. There is a boy with Aspergers, Luke Jackson, who has been writing books since he was about 11/12 - he must 19 by now I would imagine. His books are factual (at least the one's I have read) about the challenges he has had and what helped him. The one I like is called "Freaks, Geeks and Aspergers Syndrome" (I know, not a very attractive title), but when you read the book you will understand why. It is about his journey through school and puberty and is quite funny in places. He is one of six kids I think, brought up by a single mother and with siblings at different stages on the spectrum as well. You might even like that one.

hi josie i've got the gluten free diet one which his mum wrote with luke jackson his concept of things make me smile.My son doesn't watch films very often i think he prefers books as they make more sense to him.i've seen the documentary a couple of years ago about luke jackson and his family that was on BBC3.I thought "curious Incident might be hard work for him but he's loving it and every so often you hear a giggle.At the moment he won't go to sleep til he's read it.I'll have to get hold of freaks,Geeks and Aspergers syndrome.

My eldest has always been into books and is an advanced reader too.. are you after book ideas for him to just read or for him to read about aspergers/autism to gain a better understanding :)

Hi Leanne I think a mixture of both would be good as he reads both fiction and non fiction.He's read books of facts atlases the moon neil armstrong and stories.My son has a very broad range of reading.

Just thought of something else ... does he have a library card? It might be worth checking out the local library and he could access a wide range of books and it wouldnt cost you anything!

I'm a huge book nerd but I'm really sad to say that I'm not reading a book right now! But I can say that the most recent book I read was Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. It was pretty amazing - touched me in a lot of ways, and really made me think. If I could make every woman read this book, I would. Maybe even every man too? I find it a really brave story because it's non-fiction and she reveals some very private things about her life experiences. It made me feel that if this woman could go through such hard times and be honest about how crazy she felt, then I'm ok. ; )
