Thank you, Sar - truly beautiful!
I hope you'll come introduce yourself if you like! I think some people here would really enjoy hearing about the work you do with children, and about Sam! : )

Mr. Autism
Just because I won’t talk to you,
Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t love to be your friend,
Just because I seem somewhere else,
Doesn’t mean I won‘t come back in the end,
Because I love you most of all,
I am not afraid for you to see,
The worst of me I keep deep inside,
Because I kn...ow you’ll still love me
Just because I may act odd,
Doesn’t mean I don’t have feelings,
Just because I feel no pain,
Doesn’t mean I take no healing,
Just people you laugh at me,
And I don’t know why that is,
Doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt me,
Like any other kid,
Even though you may love me,
Don’t expect too much in return,
I will do my best,
To let you in my world,
Just try to understand me,
The way I am trying to understand you,
And with all the love you have for me,
I know we will get through.
