A personal assisstant!!!! I desperately need someone to do all the phone calls, paperwork and research that I have to do to get things sorted and prepared for these Tribunals!! I'd love to be spending that time with my children.....This time next year it will all be sorted......!
Question: That gave me an idea for a question! What would you like to have sorted or provided for your child by this time next year?

Hi Tracy
I will try to keep this answer short and not ramble too much! I think everyone's response to this will be different dependent on the level of autism they are dealing with. My son has Aspergers and is extremely verbal and very analytical of everything. Now if I had known how his mind worked when he was younger I could have avoided many meltdowns by simply being more detailed in my responses to him. Simply saying "no" is not enough. It is better to say "not now but you can at such and such a time/day" or "no but you can do such and such a thing or have such and such a thing instead" which now avoids all the hassle in nine out of ten instances.
Question: What would be your ideal job?

Hi
When I was little I always wanted to work in a bank which I ended up doing for 16 years.I always wanted to have a career, a flat and a blue mini metro !! Definately no children but now I am a fulltime stay at home Mum and I couldnt be happier.
Even though its the hardest job .. rubbish hrs. no pay, no lunch hours and no hoildays I really wouldnt ever want to do anything else.
Question

Bread sauce = major YUM over here! I love that stuff. I love anything like that - bread pudding, sweet potato pudding. I'd never had bread sauce until my first British Christmas but that isn't to say that it's a completely British thing. My second year here, my husband's dad made me his bread sauce. I let him have a few bites, but the rest? All mine...
I noticed in the airports that a couple of magazines are calling this the "worst decade ever". Wars, natural disasters, humans acting completely ridiculous.... I see where they're coming from but don't necessarily agree.
Question: What do you think of the last decade - bad or good? Somewhere in the middle? Significant to mankind in some way?

Hi
I don't think this last decade has been any better or worse than previous decades.. there have ,unfortunately, been numerous wars ,natural disasters etc over the decades and I feel it will be like this always.
What I think has got worse is the media whether it be the newspapers or the news itself. It continually concentrates on the negatives and is responsible for making situations like the recession, for example, a million times worse.
Question
Did you make a New Years resolution this year and if you did .. Did you keep it ???

I didn't exactly make a new years resolution, rather a new years request! I thought to myself that this year I would like a challenge!......be careful what you wish for and all that!! I have a very strange feeling someone up there was listening and if they are still listening ENOUGH CHALLENGES NOW!! Thank you!
Question: How do you explain to an autistic little one that christmas is only about one day and that they will only get one lot of presents etc... when there is such a big build up to it?! My son is very confused!!
