Hi Elena
Well today we have some rain up here in Bonnie Scotland, but just light rain so I think it will pass. It is lovely and cool today (I am not too keen on heat as I am sure you have guessed). Dont mind some sun as long as there is a little breeze with it.
I am not doing anything in particular, certainly nothing planned. Will just take each day as it comes and do what weather allows. Getting a lot done in the garden just now while the weather is decent.

Elena, please feel free to come and have a go in our garden - I hate gardening with a passion!!!
It's a 'special' birthday for me in a couple of weeks (apparently 'life begins' ???) and my hubby has banned me from checking the emails as he's got something planned. I'm not sure whether to be excited or scared!!! The week after that it's my in-laws' diamond wedding anniversary so a big family get together is happening (and they have a HUGE family) so that will be fun. The rest of the summer will be spent recovering from that, I think.
Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine - long may it last.

Well, should have known the good weather wouldnt last long; torrential downpours today with thunder and lightning. Typical school holiday weather for us up here.
On the bright side, dont need to drag the hose out to water the garden!!!

hi stephanie i will keep fingers crossed for you weather stays nice and as for summer hols well i am not sure what i am doing yet, but like some of the other mums have said our children behaving at school its true as soon as kaitlin walks out the playground she starts its like they save it up but i think its cos its their safe zone they know nothing will happen to them and its mummy bless em!

It is so gorgeous outside and I'm feeling slightly sad for being stuck indoors...!
I almost can't believe how lovely it is! For those of you not from the UK, we have had 2 pretty awful Summers as far as heat and sunshine go. It was pretty cool (light jacket weather a lot of the time) and raining tons. A Summer like this is a very good one, even if it rains through July and August, haha! I've been in England 6 years now and I've definitely acclimated to the heat because I actually feel hot when it's 22 degrees. (I'm originally from Texas in case you haven't heard me say yet!)
I don't have any time off planned for the Summer, but I've got a trip home in September to visit my friends and family.
What's everyone up to for the Summer, anything special?
