Hi Wendy!
I hope you don't mind, but I've put a link to this page over on our Twitter and Facebook pages just in case we have any contacts in your area. I've had one response so far - from a woman called Julia (http://twitter.com/smartiej) who says, "will tell my neighbour whose boy has a recent dx of AS about your group... we're in Abbots Langley". I hope they will come to this page and get in touch with you, but if you use Twitter you also might be able to message Julia.
I also wanted to link back to your introduction so that you can see the reply that Josie left for you.

Dear Wendy,
Just another thought if you are trying to find parents and families in your area who have children with Asperger Syndrome, you could try getting in touch with the charity Contact a Family. They specialise in putting families in touch with each other who are in similar situations and you might find them helpful.
Their contact details are on the links page of the TreeHouse website: http://www.treehouse.org.uk/help/support-parents-and-carers
I hope this helps!

Hi Everyone
There is a young lady on www.hertfordshirepeople.co.uk who is looking for help and advice. Could you please pop along and have a chat with her.
Thank you
Mark

Hi Mark
I have gone into the link you posted but there is then a whole list of subjects, known of which mention autism. It might actually be better if you directed the young lady to this forum (I am assuming that the help she needs relates to autism).
Thanks
Josie

I had a look also, and it would be great to find the link directly to the discussion where the young lady is at....then I can message Wendy to let her know that someone else in her area is looking for help. : )

Hi my name is Wendy, I am new to the website and trying to find my way around it! I have a 9 year old son in a mainsteam school with asperger syndrome. We have encounted a few problems but at the moment the big one is making friends and keeping them. I would very much like to hear from others and would like to meet parents and their children in the Hertfordshire area. It would be excellent if we had a social support group for our children. I live in Hemel and hope we as parents are able to set up such a group.
thanks Wendy xx
