Tom,
You're not on your own, some of them I find easier to read than others, I don't have Autism (or at least not diagnosed anyway!) and although I understand why it's done I think it's a pain having to do it for every post you make, and my real fear is that I'll spend ages writing something out and then loose it because I got the characters wrong!
I also think your right, it's a visual perception thing, neither of my boys can use them either, because they don't see them right, or in M's case it all swims before his eyes

Hi Tom and Debby,
This is not just you - it's difficult to use and we are going to be removing it from the forum very shortly. It should only appear on the registration page in the future. At the moment its appearing everytime you log in, post topics and comments which is not very useful so please bear with us until it's removed!
Thanks for your feedback, it's really useful - keep it coming! : )

Paula, I can understand the necessity for some kind of spam control before logging on, but after? Its a very tiresome thing to keep having to do.

Yep - that's why we're getting rid of it. Please bear with us whilst our technical team fixes it!
thanks,

Hi Paula, I wasn't grizzling about the necessity for the thing, but very interested in the visual perception angle. All similar anti spam thingys seem to equally stump me!
I'll post this elsewhere on the forum too, but would be interested in finding any standard test material for audio/visual perception if anyone can help?
Oh goody, here come the Captcha again!!!

Hehe! I think this Captcha is particularly difficult! Thanks for being patient, we will take it off asap.
Yes please do post up a topic about that - maybe the General Autism section? - http://www.treehouse.org.uk/forums/general-autism

That capcha thing you use to get rid of spambots, I have to try several times to get through that, I can't work the characters out. Am I human? lol I have the same problem on Yahoo.
I will be interested if any other asperger folk get the same hassle? I'm sure it's some kind of visual issue.
