I am writing to let you all know about an exciting project that TreeHouse is running called the Parent Participation Project (PPP). This project is working in four local authorities:
Brighton & Hove,
Haringey
Telford & Wrekin
South Tyneside
The aim of the project is to strengthen the parent carer voice through effective and inclusive representation to influence and improve services for children with disabilities. It will ensure that under-represented communities have the opportunity to participate in parent forums and networks to have their opinions expressed.
I would love to hear all parent carers' experiences of parent participation in your local area, and especially from the four local authorities that the project is working in. We are really excited about working to strengthen parent participation and look forward to hearing about your experiences and ideas!
