It would be very interesting to know where teachers go for autism information.
Do they go to the NAS, Treehouse, Teachernet? How can we find out?

That's a good question, I really don't know.
Are there any teachers here who can help?
I would also like to know if anyone has come across any foreign-language resources? I sometimes wonder if we get people visiting the site who don't speak English as a first language and where they end up in their search.

Hi Elena
Yes, Kelly on the Hyperlexia board is a secondary school teacher so she might have some info. I was tempted to ask her about autism training for teachers but thought I better let her get settled first!!

We had to take Serge to a DLA tribunal last year and the NAS site was an amazingly useful resource. I think if you're looking for something specific it's the place to start. I understand they will be introducing some community/forum elements soon too.

Also, there are some great bloggers out there. I really used to enjoy Kristina Chew's blog Autism Vox but she closed that down. Now she has a new one here: http://autism.typepad.com/
Great writing about their 'journey' with their son Charlie.

I'm curious - what are your top web resources for issues pertaining to autism?
Perhaps it's a useful website or just a great blog.
For me, I really like the following:
- Facebook & Twitter of course. I can ask anything and get an answer very quickly.
- Age of Autism is another favourite
- The NAS website is always helpful
- I also use the TreeHouse website but that's a given!
I have lots more but will kick it off with just these for now. :-)
