Off to tribunal - cost of education

We are off to tribunal for an ABA package split between home and mainstream nursery - son is 3 asking for 40 hours per week - 50 weeks per year. Have costed it out and just seems much higher than what I have seen people recover. I have heard place at Treehouse is about £56k (is this right). Does anyone know what a place for a 3 year old would be at an ABA school or advise what they have obtained either for ABA or specialist school for 3 year old. He is making brilliant progress and we will argue he will be able to go into mainstream in future. I have no idea how much places cost and it would be nice to say X school would cost a similar amount so it doesn't look quite so shocking next to the LA proposal (about £4k!)

Hi Joolz

Sorry I didnt spot this post earlier, not that I would have been of any help as I dont know anything about the cost of ABA schools.  Hopefully one of the girls will spot it now that I have reactivated and be able to help with this.

I hope you have a good outcome from the tribunal.

Hi Joolz,

Sorry, I dont know either. Are there any ABA teachers in your area you could contact to ask for a sort of quote?

Hi Julia, I also most apologise because I did see your post & sent an email to a contact of mine to see if someone has information for you but haven't turned anything up. I forgot to come back and tell you this! I'll keep an ear out and let you know if I hear something! Likewise, give us a shout if you come across anything.

Hiya Julia, just to update you here as well - I haven't been able to find anything out for you. I'm sorry! I think finding some ABA teachers in your area might be a good idea as Claire suggested. Please let us know what you find out!

Julia

I don't know about treehouse but certainly here in Cambridgeshire the funding allocated generally ranged between £30 - 35K pa for an ABA programme.  A lot of this funding is now being withdrawn but that has been the situation over the last few years.

Hope this helps

 Regards
