Wanting to work with autistic kids

I work with autistic children, there are many ways to go about it. If you want to be a teaching assistant the best way to start is to look at supporting a child with autism who is in a mainstream school who is on a statement. If you look at relief teaching assistant jobs and start there. Or you can look at doing some respite care for families or even look into special needs nannying. Are you looking to work in a special needs school or supporting a child in a mainstream school?
