Hi. I am new here

Hi everyone, my name is Debbie and i have three children who have asd.

My eldest sons difficulties lie mainly with social interaction and i would not say he is disabled by his autism however the same is not true for my other children.

My youngest child, at nine is non verbal and at the most severe edge of the wedge. She can be violent, mainly towards me and herself.

My middle child is, well in the middle.  He is funny and bright and totally inappropriate.

I live in Hull and i would like to talk to other people who have children like mine.

Thanks

Hi Debbie

Welcome to the group :)   I have three kids, all teenagers now.  My youngest who is now 15 was diagnosed with Aspergers when he was 7/8 years old.   I also have a son of almost 20 who has similar difficulties to my youngest but who does not want to be diagnosed and a 16 year old neurotypical daughter.

If you have any particular questions please feel free to ask or if you want to post your own discussion you could also do that.

Hi Debbie,

Welcome, I have 4 children and 1 on the way :) Two are my step sons and are on the spectrum. My eldest is 15 with Aspergers and my youngest is almost 9 with the more classic autism and has delayed language - he was completely non-verbal until he was 5.

As Josie has already said, please feel free to ask any questions or share any hints or tips you may have :)
