Research Survey (Damian)

Hello all,

Please find below a link to my research survey concerning parenting and parental attitudes toward education for their children on the autism spectrum.  In section 2 of the survey please give one number for each category (from 1 to 9).  Full instructions are in the survey itself.  Any problems with filling it in - then please post it here (or on the 'Ask Damian' strand).  I suspect that I will be collecting data for some time, and be writing up the results in the new year.

All the best + I hope you find it interesting,

Damian

p.s. a big thankyou to Anna for helping me get the survey online.

Hi Damian, great news to hear that your survey is ready. Would it be helpful if I share this next week on Facebook and Twitter?

Yes please!  That would be great, thanks Elena!

Damian you had a few comments on our Facebook page, thought you might like to see. Try the link below, but I think you'll have to be logged in:

If that doesn't work, just visit www.facebook.com/talkaboutautism and scroll down to where I posted the research survey yesterday.

Thanks Elena,

Very useful feedback etc. - I have replied to 'Tad Auty' as there is a way for them to show the option they wanted (although not obvious etc.) - which I hopefully explained to them.

I was thinking about trying to get the views of some dad's for the interviews and survey - any suggestions?  Any dad's out there interested?

Hi Damian

I know of a fathers group locally that will have members who have children with ASD.  I could pass the link to them.

Is it only for kids who have got a diagnosis?  Just wondered if I should be doing it or not. I've sort of not as Matthew does not have a diagnosis.

Demi

Hello Demi,

That would be great.  The survey for parents who consider their children to be on the spectrum - so I presume this fits you?  If so, by all means do a survey.  Also, if you like, you can do an interview (see 'Member Interview' section).

All the best,

Damian - Community Champion

Good idea, Demi!

Okay - will set one up under 'Member Interviews',
