Hi my name is Roza I would like to introduce you to my 2 wonderful grandsons Kye now aged 7 and Kane now aged six they are the 2 youngest so far in my sons family of four children Kenny being the eldest at 13 and then sister Angie 9. My son and his partner Jo have been through so much just trying to care for these two gorgeous boys. Last year when i moved closer to them in Croydon and had finally got my own computer, i started to email the NAS their local council SEN department and then the MP. I did this because although both boys were in a special needs school there was still no respite being provided for mum and dad at home. Also they boys had access to speech and language therapy once a year. Both boys are non-verbal and Kye exhibits very challenging behaviour together with an eating disorder. Kane is now clean and i have recently written a letter for mum (Jo) to try and get him into another school which specializes in children statemented on the Spectrum. Jo has had previous knowledge of the school as her nephew goes there and his recovery was quite amazing, he spoke six months after being there. I know that each autistic child is unique in the way they are, but I believe that each child should be given the opportunity and resources to be the best that they can be, eventually if possible paving the way to a future where he or she can be accepted in the community. I am a christian so to me with God on the side of these special children and adults nothing is impossible.
