Autism Campaigner & Author Kevin Healey

Hello Everyone!

Im not sure where to start, my name is Kevin i have Asperger was diagnosed late in life at the age of 27, (I have an identical twin brother who is Autistic) since my Diagnoses i have been campaigning for the last ten years, at local level and also at a national level, i have set up and founded two Autisic charitys in staffordshire, (www.saas.uk.com)

i recently wrote my autobiography Twin Brothers Worlds Apart (www.twinbrothersworldsapart.com) which is now been turned into a feature  film. 

I don't know everything about Autism,  im not a professional, but what i do know is i have lived with the condition for 36 years, because this condition is so "hidden", I'm like a majority of the people out there with A/S, i have anxiety, social problems, OCD etc etc.... but No two Autistic s are the same!!! 

What make me happy? helping other's, that's all i have ever done since my diagnoses! - why do you ask? well because i don't want anyone to go through what i went through, if you read my book you will see- and all the proceeds goto SAAS & Simon Baron Choen.

what make me angry? when parents think they can "cure there kids with Autism" either through Biomedical or certain therapies? Dont you think if i had found the cure! i would be cured! by now... and my twin who is severely Autistic who cant communicate with me?

I have also campaigned for Gary Mckinnon and his mother Janis Sharp- Gary- who is soon facing extradition to the US, which must be stopped by the Autism Community, before it's to late for Gary and his Family, see a website which i did hear (   www.signup4garymckinnon.yolasite.com  )
